Class Assignments/ grading:
Full Attendance and active engagement in all classes are required. Failure
to meet this standard will result in loss of credit.
1. Weekly Reflections/Discussions 50%
a) Discussion on reading assignments with questions demonstrating knowledge of assignments.
b) Reactions of how course topics relate to the teacher’s content area.
c) Implementation of behavior strategies from readings and class demonstrations.
d) A weekly discussion forum addressing “hot” topics
2. Writing Assignment 50%
a) A 8-10 page paper using a student example. The paper will include picking a psychological perspective and writing about how this persons behavior came to be and how you intend on working to improve the behavior. This will include specific examples from class and readings along with theoretical approaches to help work with the behavior.
